Renouncing violence is the best way.

As everybody knows there is a lot of war going on in the Middle East  . Too many people have been killed. All sides need to renounce violence particularly the militarily weaker sides. They have to do this because if they don't a lot of them will be killed as has happened in  Gaza  .

There is evidence from the way the Baha'is behave   in Iran,   I am a Baha'i  , that working within the constitutional channels  of any country  is more powerful for remedying an injustice than taking up arms and becoming  terrorists against the government. It is slower, it relies on the snail like pace of justice  being handled by the world community through the UN  and is obviously a severe challenge to those Baha'is who are being persecuted by the Iranian government.  But it is better for the Baha'i community  in terms of the numbers of Baha'is being killed and it also has drawn the goodwill of the world community towards the Iranian Baha'is as they have renounced violence and are using constitutional channels not violence to bring to the attention of the world community the grave injustices which are being perpetrated against them by the Iranian government. In terms of the preservation of life , the Baha'i way is the best way.

The Palestinians need to try the Baha'i way , renounce violence and trust the goodwill of the Israeli government and the world community. It isn't just the Israeli government involved in this it is all of us in the world community as well.  There are people in Israel who believe this could lead to a positive outcome for Palestinian aspirations however they are eventually settled,

"It’s also important to acknowledge the truth: If Gaza

had become the Singapore of the Middle East after the

evacuation, the Israeli public would have been convinced

it was worth doing the same in Judea and Samaria." ("The Pro-Israel Handbook Winning Facts Against Pro-Palestinian Progressives" (Matan Peleg))

It is a historical fact about Israel  that when nobody is shooting at them they don't shoot back. The best way forward to resolve this conflict is for all sides to renounce violence particularly the Palestinians as when they are   not  a threat as they have renounced violence then there will be the basis for peace  . It will take time and there will be setbacks but eventually they will get there and  the fewest amount of people will be killed.
